Some people will tell you wines are the perfect match for any dish, better than any beverage. Here at the BX Beer Depot, we believe that to be far from truth. The complexity of beers allows for a wide range of flavors to match, contrast, and compliment the flavors of any meal you eat.
Consider having an Indian Pale Ale to cut the heat out of Jamaican jerked pork, or to counterbalance the sweetness of a reach carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Did you know that a stout is the perfect compliment to any chocolate or coffee dessert; accentuating the roasted flavors and complimenting the dish perfectly, or perhaps the same stout with a heavy beef dish; the beers potent malty sweetness is one of the few things that can stand up to a heavy beef dish. These suggestions, they barely break the ice on proper beer and food pairing.
One of our goals at the Bx is to offer our customers an education on all things beer, and this is just another aspect that we want to share with you, our customer. From time to time we do food and beer pairings and we will be sharing our recipes with you alongside dinner suggestions. We also offer books that tell you everything you need to know to become an accomplished food and beer pairing expert. Furthermore, we offer our services and expertise on special request, ask us what we can do for you, and we will do it.
Following are a few of our favorite pairings, we will be offering recipes in the very near future. Stay tuned or visit our next food pairing to experience this for yourself.
